Dagny was born at Skien, Norway, daughter of Johan Christian Ulrichsen (1861–1950) and his wife Berntine Marie Hansen (1868–1958). She grew up on Marensro on the outskirts of Skien along with five brothers and one sister.

Marriage

In 22 May 1920 she married to Karl August Haraldsen (1889–1959), son of Halvor Haraldsen, and his wife Carethe Josephine Nielsen. They had four children:

The family first lived at Josefinesgate 29 and then moved to Vinderen in Oslo in 1934.[1]

Later life

After her daughter's marriage to the Crown Prince of Norway (later Harald V), Haraldsen kept a low profile. She never gave interviews, and her telephone number was removed from the telephone directory, but she was present at family gatherings. She was also a grandmother of Princess Märtha Louise and Crown Prince Haakon.

Later Dagny moved into an apartment in Professor Dahls gate in Oslo, the apartment was later taken over by her granddaughter, Princess Märtha Louise.

Death

Dagny died in Oslo in 1994, a month before her 96th birthday.
